and become all He wants us to be!

We have
both traditional and contemporary worship services,
as well as programs for
all ages
and interests
Our Purpose
Worship: to
express our love for God in meaningful times of worship
that exalt Christ and allow us to experience the healing presence and
power of the Holy Spirit.
Caring: to live out Christ’s call to love one
another within our own
family of believers and in practical acts of love and service among our
neighbours in the greater Hamilton area.
Outreach: to share the good news of Christ’s
love through word and
deed, so that people in our community and around the world can discover
a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Spiritual Growth: to foster in each person a
growing relationship with
Christ, by teaching Biblical principles in a relevant and applicable
way so that we all walk in obedience to Him.
Our Covenant
We invite any and all to join us for worship
and to
become a part of our congregation. Some who join our congregation also
choose to become formal members. Baptized believers who become members
of Harmony Baptist Church choose to covenant together. This is our
covenant:
Having received the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour and
Lord and, on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the
name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, we covenant
together as one body in Christ.
As disciples of Christ, we commit ourselves to God and to one another
to do the following.
We will protect the unity of our church by:
- acting in love toward other members;
- refusing to gossip;
- seeking reconciliation with our brothers and sisters;
- supporting and working with those who have been
entrusted with
spiritual leadership in our church.
We will support the testimony of our church by:
- attending and worshipping faithfully;
- living a godly life;
- giving regularly to the church’s ministry.
We will serve the ministry of our church by:
- discovering together our gifts and talents;
- developing and demonstrating a servant heart;
- giving of our time to share in the work of our church.
We will share in the mission of our church by:
- praying for our church and our community;
- inviting others to attend;
- welcoming those who visit;
- sharing the good news of Christ’s love;
- showing his love in practical acts of mercy and
service among our neighbours.
Together we affirm our unity as the church of Jesus Christ, yielding
ourselves to his Spirit, for the greater glory of the Father. Amen.

Harmony
Baptist Church was born in October 2000,
when Mount Calvary and Westmount
Baptist Churches
merged together to become Harmony!
